Boston Scientific required a long-range plan for their Arden Hills research and development campus. RSP planned and designed a comprehensive, 15-year master plan that will eventually result in a 16 building, 95-acre campus. The first major project completed in the plan was the Learning and Development Center, featured in the photos above. The center serves as campus “front door,” overlooking a plaza. The center's design reflects the aspirations and values of the workforce, a team dedicated to the development of innovative medical technology. The pure curved form and timeless materials of brick, stone and glass convey the focused attitude and self-image of Boston Scientific's corporate culture. A three-story structure with 36,500 square feet per level, the Learning & Development Center includes areas for training, offices, classrooms, laboratories, dining facilities and support spaces. RSP has also completed a 70,000 square foot Technology Integration Center and a four-level, 600-vehicle parking ramp.
